our largest fundraiser

Tag Day is the largest fundraiser event for the PFHS Band Program.


Every year, band members go into the community to request donations in support of our program, only a portion of our operating budget is funded by the Loudoun County Public Schools. The rest is fundraised or paid directly by the students.


The event is placed months in advance by a committee and requires every band member to sign up for either a morning or afternoon shift. Additionally, we need 10-15 parent drivers per shift to bring students to their designated territory and chaperone as well as collect donations as the students receive them. Parents then reconsile collected funds back at school with our "home base" group.


Almost an entire season of fund-raising can be accomplished in just one day!


Adults needed are 2 shifts of 10-15 parent chaperone/drivers as well as 3-4 volunteers who help reconsile money and replentish "tag bags". Shifts are:
8:30am - 1pm
1pm - 5:30pm
