Executive Board

President

The President presides at the Executive Board and Booster general meetings. This position serves as the liaison between the Booster organization and the Band Director. The President has financial signing authority and can call for special committees to focus on specific tasks. The President ensures the overall successful operation of the Booster organization.


Vice President

The Vice Presidents acts as the back up to the President filling in whatever capacity is required. This position oversees the Fundraising committee.


Treasurer

The Band Boosters is a nonprofit organization and because of that the Treasurer handles not only the finances, but also the audit, state filing, insurance, and reporting requirements. The Treasurer can delegate certain responsibilities to a second person who will carry out the duties associated with the receivables and disbursements of the organization.


Secretary for Communications (commonly called Recording Secretary)

The Recording Secretary keeps the minutes at all Executive Board and Booster general meetings. This position is responsible for ensuring the By Laws and State Incorporation documents are maintained. This position oversees the Communication sub committees.


Secretary for Organization (commonly called Membership and Spirit Wear Coordinator)

As a service to the program the Band Boosters provide Spirit Wear available for purchase. This position oversees the vendor selection, pricing, and inventory of Board approved Spirit Wear. This Coordinator also runs the annual membership drive and keeps a roster of the membership. This position oversees the Hospitality committee.

Secretary for Human Resources (commonly called Volunteer Coordinator)

The Volunteer Coordinator works closely with the President and the Band Director to determine the volunteer needs of the program. This position then advertises, solicits, and tracks the various volunteers throughout the school year.


Committees

Standing Committees

The following are the committees required by the By Laws.

Fundraising Chair (officially called Ways and Means)

The Fundraising Chair oversees the established fundraisers like Tag Day and Car Washes as well as any new endeavors. This Chair position can create sub committees for each fundraising effort in order to delegate responsibilities. Sub committees can include Tag Day, Car Wash, Tiny Tots Concert, Poinsettia Sales, etc.


Communications Chair

Communications generally are accomplished through subcommittee Chairs working closely with the President. Subcommittee chairs include Band Bugle, Booster Website, Social Media, and the Shutterfly Photo Site.


Hospitality Chair

The Hospitality Chair ensures there are appropriate refreshments at designated Band events throughout the school year. This includes events like the Marching Band Expo and the Band Banquet.


Ad Hoc Committees

The following are the committees deemed necessary over time, but are not required by the By Laws.

Pre Game Dinners

This position and committee plan and serves the Marching Band dinners before each home football game.


Private Lessons

The Private Lessons position coordinates with the Band Director to ensure there are teachers scheduled and available to support the private lesson program hosted at PFHS.


Marching Band Photos / Yearbook

This seasonal position designs, creates, and sells the annual Marching Band Yearbook using photos taken by volunteers and individual contributors throughout the season.


Website/Technology

Year-long position. Maintains the Google site and assists with technology issues as needed


Uniforms/Concert Attire

Year-long position. Manages fitting and upkeep of marching band uniforms and concert attire. Help with organizing and assigning uniforms, fitting students, alterations, and facilitating dry cleaner pick up and delivery.
